Bee a Habitat Hero: Learn About Insects and Pollinators at Free Workshop

Did you know that one out of every three bites of food you take is the direct result of a pollinator? Bee a Habitat Hero and learn how to create a habitat to attract pollinators to your garden, orchard or farm!  There will be a free workshop on April 13th where you can learn about creating beneficial spaces for insects and pollinators.

According to the U.S. Forest Service pollinators are responsible for assisting over 80% of the world’s flowering plants. Without them, humans and wildlife wouldn’t have much to eat or look at. Animals that assist plants in their reproduction as pollinators include species of ants, bats, bees, beetles, birds, butterflies, flies, moths, and wasps.

Participants in the two-hour class will learn about the vital role that pollinators play in the future of sustainable agriculture.

The pollinator workshop will be held from 5:30 to 7:30 at Every Bloomin’ Thing nursery, 705-670 Hwy 395 East. Click here to register online or call 251-2330. Bring a lawn chair!
