As part of Historic Uptown Susanville Association’s big Safe N’ Sane Halloween event the organization is sponsoring an online costume contest for kids of all ages. Whether you are dressing up as a superhero, a ghoul, a goblin or a fairy princess, you could win some neat prizes just for uploading a photo and getting your friends to vote for you.
Prizes will be awarded in a variety of age groups and categories. There is a special competition for family costumes and one for pets.
Winners will receive neat prizes from Sierra Desert Properties, Margie’s Book Nook, Sierra Theatre and Uptown Cinemas, Milwood Florist and Treats Dog Company.
Entries who receive the most online votes can claim their prizes right after the Coffin Races at the Halloween event in uptown Wednesday and they must be in costume to win.
