The report of a stolen travel trailer in the Doyle area led to the arrest of three suspects Friday according to details released by the Susanville office of the California Highway Patrol.
On August 18th, a Doyle resident had reported that her 2012 travel trailer was stolen from her property. CHP officers conducted an investigation, speaking with the victim, several witnesses and eventually located the stolen trailer on a piece of private property behind a locked gate.
Officers with the Susanville CHP were able to secure a search warrant for the property to recover the trailer and other evidence connected with the theft.
Along with the search warrant Officers also obtained arrest warrants for the suspects.
On August 30th the search warrant was executed and the travel trailer, along with other evidence, was recovered from the property.
The three suspects, who the CHP declined to identify in the report, were also located and arrested on the property. The travel trailer was returned to the owner.
