The Susanville Salvation Army will be hosting a fundraising Kettle Kick Off Dinner on November 16th, at the start of the organization’s busiest season of the year.
The dinner, which begins at 6:00p.m. at the Assembly of God Church on Richmond Road is the start of the Red Kettle fundraising campaign and the event is meant to help share all that the Salvation Army does within the community.
The organization provides a variety of services and programs to families in Lassen County including emergency assistance in the form of utilities, transportation and housing, Christmas food and Angel Tree gifts, a week of summer camp and a back to school program that provides clothing, backpacks and supplies to local children.
Funds raised stay in Lassen County to support all of the Salvation Army’s programs throughout the year.
The dinner, which will be catered by Kristie Hoelzle, features lasagna 2 ways and dessert. Music will be provided by Lacuna Tide Band and Sound.
Tickets, which are $15 per person or $105 for a table of eight, are available to purchase at the Salvation Army, 1560 Main Street.
