Lassen Community College will be hosting an African American History Celebration this evening, February 20th with a special reception featuring Dr. Donald Easton-Brooks, Dean of Education at University of Nevada Reno.
Dr. Easton-Brooks’ topic will be ‘Kizzie: Creating a Path Forward’ a talk about purpose, opportunity and creating, “our own narrative.”
Soul-food inspired desserts will be served.
The celebration will be held from 5:30 until 7:30 this evening in Middleton Hall, in the Humanities building at the college.
