Lassen Hotel Sale is Made

Hotel Mt. Lassen being rebuilt after a disastrous fire which gutted it last year, was sold today.
Mrs. Frank Coffin and Mr. and Mrs. Fred Abbay announced sale of the hotel to a newly formed corporation. Stockholders for the corporation, all Susanville residents, are R. L. Attaway, Kenneth R. Doyle, Al Bantley, Evan Chappius, Joseph Diggle and Don Cady
Spokesmen for the corporation said remodeling of the hotel will be completed.
The hotel was built in May 1926, by Mr. and Mrs. Frank Collin. He died in 1937. Mr. and Mrs. Abbay were associated with Mrs. Coffin in operation of the hotel from then to the present.
It will be Mrs. Coffin’s first detachment from the hotel business in 51 years.
