A 55-year old Redding man was arrested for driving under the influence April 15th, after he drove his 2012 Chevrolet work van off Highway-147 near Clear Creek and struck several trees along the roadway.
The driver, identified by the California Highway Patrol as Paul U. Alexander, was traveling southbound on the highway Wednesday afternoon near the Plumas and Lassen County line when he struck the trees along the shoulder of the road.
The van overturned and came to rest on the driver side. No other vehicles were involved in the collision.
Alexander was arrested at the scene.
