Long-time local businessman Arlin Billington, after serving Susanville customers for thirty-one years, has decided to retire, and has announced the sale of the business. For more than three-decades Billington has been a mainstay of the local business community, not only running a successful operation but also contributing to local service organizations and charitable organizations.
This is what he had to say about his retirement and the sale of Billington ACE Hardware.
“Hi, Arlin Billington here and I just wanted to say THANK YOU to Susanville and Lassen County.
“I have decided to retire and have sold Billington ACE Hardware to Mark Schulein and Matt Fales of Crown Ace Hardware of Southern California. They are long term store owner/operators who have the same commitment to their communities as I have displayed over the past 31 years.
“I believe that you will see the same level of customer service and product selection that you have been accustomed to receiving. Please welcome them to the market place and enjoy the future with them.
“Once again, THANK YOU to Susanville and Lassen County for the wonderful experience that I have enjoyed. This is a great place to work and live and I plan on staying in the area
