CalFresh benefits will be increased by 15% until June 30th, 2021, and the agency has announced temporary changes to the Student Eligibility Rule effective immediately.
Students are encouraged to apply for CalFresh if they are eligible for state or federally financed work study, as determined by the campus financial aid office, or if they have an Expected Family Contribution of $0, as determined by the California Student Aid Commission.

What verifications are recommended?
For Work Study:
- A letter from the financial aid office confirming work study eligibility, OR
- A completed work study verification form confirming work study eligibility
For $0 EFC:
- A California Student Aid Commission (CSAC) verification letter, for the current school year
- A copy of the Student Aid Report (SAR), OR
- A copy of the Financial Aid Offer letter.
