Chukkar arrived at the Lassen County Animal Shelter as a stray, so his history is unknown to staff. In the kennels he can present as timid and scared, but as soon as he is walked outside to the play yard his true personality shines. He’s BOUNCY. So very bouncy.
Chukkar’s positive, happy energy is enough to get staff smiling and laughing. Further evaluations need to be done to see how he does with other doggy friends, yet so far he’s been doing well with short visits round other passive dogs. Additionally, Chukkar’s new home needs to be cat free.
Chukkar is about a year old, neutered, up to date on his vaccinations, and heartworm tested negative. If interested in meeting, Chukkar, or other adoptable animals at the shelter, please call staff at (530) 257-9200.
Featured animals at the Lassen County Animal Shelter are available for adoption on a first-come-first-serve basis. According to California law, all adoptable dogs and cats must be spayed and neutered before leaving our facility. If interested in adopting an animal, please contact the shelter directly.
