Ripley girl is one of the Lassen County Animal Shelter’s longer stays currently. She’s feisty, energetic, intense, and above all, she’s eager to meet her new family.
This lady is attentive to her person and would greatly benefit from a dog savvy owner willing to work her. It can be fun games, agility, or lots of regular outdoor activities. Whatever it is, Ripley is not the type of girl to want to stay home and lounge on the couch. She’s up. She ready. She’s out the door first. EVERY TIME. If you’re looking for a fitness buddy/motivator, Ripley wants the job.
Her ideal home would be cat and small dog free. Older, respectful children are recommended to fit best with Ripley and so far she’s been getting along with dogs her size. Staff suspects she may be mixed with a working/herding breed, which would explain her admirable tenacity.
Ripley is thought to be about 3 years old, is UTD on her vaccinations, spayed, and heartworm tested negative. If interested in Ripley, or other adoptable animals at the shelter, please call staff at (530) 257-9200.
Featured animals at the Lassen County Animal Shelter are available for adoption on a first-come-first-serve basis. According to California law, all adoptable dogs and cats must be spayed and neutered before leaving our facility. If interested in adopting an animal, please contact the shelter directly.
