JoJo
Jojo came to the Lassen County Animal Shelter through no fault of his own as an owner surrender.
He’s about 4 years old, active, high energy, and incredibly outgoing. Jojo doesn’t know a stranger. He’s willing to make friends with just about anyone who walks into the kennels. Though he could use a refresher on some common courtesies, such as jumping up, he’s ready to learn if you’re willing to teach. All he needs is guidance from a dedicated person.
According to Jojo’s previous owner, he can be dog aggressive. So far, staff hasn’t had many troubles on this front with Jojo. He doesn’t fence fight with other dogs but can get grumbly depending on who is sharing the outdoor kennel next to him. He may very well get along better with females than other males. A meet and greet is recommended if there is already a dog in the home. A potential new home must not have cats; Jojo has a high prey drive.
Jojo will need to be neutered and brought UTD on his vaccinations prior to adoption. If interested in this handsome boy, please give shelter staff a call at (530) 257-9200.
Featured animals at the Lassen County Animal Shelter are available for adoption on a first-come-first-serve basis. According to California law, all adoptable dogs and cats must be spayed and neutered before leaving our facility. If interested in adopting an animal, please contact the shelter directly.
Current shelter hours during the COVID-19 pandemic are Monday through Friday, 9:00a.m. to 3:00p.m. Closed Saturday and Sunday. You can contact the shelter at 257-9200.
