Lassen County Animal Shelter has peafowl!
These beautiful birds are known to actively hunt for various insects, reptiles, amphibians, small mammals, and even snakes. So, if anyone out there has a booming population of ants, wasps, or other creepy crawlies on their property, perhaps a peafowl or two may be just what you need.
They cannot be kept within Susanville city limits and genders are not known at this point in time. Birds are estimated to be about 4-5 months old.
For more information, please call the Lassen County Animal Shelter at 257-9200.
