UPDATE: Thor has been adopted
Thor is a silly and lovable boy looking for his new forever home.
Unfortunately, due to the pandemic, Thor’s family could no longer care for him and made the hard decision to surrender him. He is slowly settling into the shelter life. The kennels make him anxious and nervous but once he gets outside and is able to stretch his legs and play, Thor shows off his goofy side.
All this guy wants is cuddles and pets; he’s extremely affectionate and playful.
Thor’s previous owner informed the shelter that he gets along with cats and has lived with children. Staff is still getting to know Thor, so more testing will need to be done to see how he interacts with dogs he doesn’t know.
Thor is about 5 years old and will be neutered, heartworm tested, and brought up to date on his vaccinations prior to adoption. For more information on Thor, or other adoptable animals, please contact the Lassen County Animal shelter at (530) 257-9200.
Featured animals at the Lassen County Animal Shelter are available for adoption on a first-come-first-serve basis. According to California law, all adoptable dogs and cats must be spayed and neutered before leaving our facility. If interested in adopting an animal, please contact the shelter directly.
Current shelter hours during the COVID-19 pandemic are Monday through Friday, 9:00a.m. to 3:00p.m. Closed Saturday and Sunday. You can contact the shelter at 257-9200.
