Adopt A Pet Today from the Lassen County Animal Shelter – Wish List

Lassen County Animal Shelter Wish List

We would like to thank everyone for all their recent donation to the animal shelter. We are so thankful to our community. Here is an updated wish list. No food or treats are needed at this point in time.

Bleach. This is used every day to ensure a clean shelter.

Enrichment dog toys. This helps them from getting bored in the kennels.

Used towels, washcloths, receiving blankets, etc. (no electric blankets)

Used crates, cat trees, litterboxes, scoopers, beds, toys, stuffed animals, brushes, nail trimmers, etc.

Dog cots, used or new. The dogs LOVE these, especially during the warmer months.

Monetary donations are ALWAYS appreciated and are completely tax deductible. Checks can be made out to: LCAS Trust Fund. This ensures the money STAYS at the shelter and helps animals receive the care they need, whether that be simple vaccinations, heartworm tests, leukemia tests, etc. Checks can be brought directly to the shelter or mailed to 707 Nevada St, Suite 4.

Featured animals at the Lassen County Animal Shelter are available for adoption on a first-come first-serve basis. According to California law, all adoptable dogs and cats must be spayed and neutered before leaving our facility. If interested in adopting an animal, please contact the shelter directly.

Current shelter hours during the COVID-19 pandemic are Monday through Friday, 9:00a.m. to 3:00p.m. Closed Saturday and Sunday. You can contact the shelter at 257-9200.
