Kennels at the Lassen County Animal Shelter are full according to shelter Kennel Technician Jaime Proia, with some dogs even doubled up and sharing space.
“Now it the perfect time to find your new forever friend,” explains Proia, who adds that, “Kennels are full, animals are in need and adoption fees are affordable.”
All altered shelter animals come spayed/neutered, UTD on vaccinations and heartworm/leukemia tested negative.
Adoption fees for altered dogs is a $25 donation plus the cost of a license. Altered cats are a $20 donation.
148 adoptions were done in 2023 according to the shelter, who say they are already at 93 adoptions for 2024.
