It’s a fantastic gift for student artists to be able to display their work, and a real treat for art lovers who get a chance to see it in person. All month long at the Lassen County Arts Council Gallery you have a chance to see the very best of the best from Lassen College’s art program, chosen from almost 200 pieces that were entered into the college’s annual juried Student Art Show.
Artwork from these talented students includes drawings, paintings photographs, illustrations, ceramics, mixed-medium, 3-dimensional art and graphic design.
“LCAC is always thrilled and excited to have the Lassen Community College Student Show at the Gallery,” says Arts Council President Debra Miller, “We have shown the work at the gallery for several years and every year I feel the work is of higher quality, the talent of the students is incredible.”
Miller invites everyone to come by for Tuesday evening’s reception and see the diverse works of art the students have produced this year.
A congratulatory reception for the artists, and an introduction to their works will be held Tuesday evening at 5:30, in the gallery at 807 Cottage Street.
The artwork will be on display all month if you would like to visit the gallery, which is open Monday through Friday from noon to 4:00p.m.
