The Lassen Land and Trails Trust is hosting its third annual Lassen County Homebrew Competition to support activities in conservation, working landscapes and trails. Homebrewers and beer tasters will be part of the event.
Home brewers are encouraged to begin planning now for this friendly competition that raises funds for LL&TT’s work in conservation, trails and environmental education.
Brewers can enter any category of beer. The minimum single-brew entry size is 3-gallons. (Keg or bottle) The brewer’s event ticket is free with their first 3-gallon entry and each additional 3-gallons earns an additional ticket.
Beer tasting and judging will be held May 2nd, from 4:00 to 8:00p.m., at the Historic Susanville Railroad Depot, 601 Richmond Road.
Brewers are encouraged to pour their homebrews during the open tasting from 5:00 on 8:00.
Entry forms are available online at www.lassenlandandtrailstrust.org.
There will also be a Group Brew at Lassen Ale Works March 14th. Equipment, ingredients and experience to be shared by all. No experience is necessary.
