Those interested in running for office in the November 6th, 2018 Statewide General Election have until the close of business at 5:00p.m., on Friday, August 10th, to file all necessary paperwork at the Lassen County Clerk’s office located in the Historic Courthouse at 220 S. Lassen Street.
According to Lassen County Clerk-Recorder Julie Bustamante this deadline also applies to local jurisdictions who intend to place a measure on the November ballot.
If an eligible incumbent does not file and qualify to run for office by the close of business at 5:00p.m., on Friday, August 10th, the filing period will be extended another five calendar days for everyone except the incumbent and will end at the close of business at 5:00p.m., on August 15th.
