The Banner Lassen Foundation will be holding a Spaghetti Dinner Fundraiser March 26th, at the Diamond Mountain Casino, to raise funds for their Tranquil Garden Project. The dinner will be held from 4:30 to 8:00 and will also feature a 50/50 raffle and a silent auction.
Dinner is $8 for adults, $5 for kids 12 and under or $20 for a family of four.
The new outdoor garden project in the courtyard area at the hospital will provide a restful, peaceful, outdoor setting for patients, staff and the community.
The ‘Tranquil Garden’ will be a place to take a break, relax or meditate, in a peaceful secluded space.
The plans were developed by a committee comprised of community members; Connie Dunks, Dorine Blankenship and Judy Davis; Banner Foundation members Bill Wemple and Brack Green, in partnership with the hospital.
Elizabeth Pisani, of Viewpoint Design Group, designed and donated a concept design plan for the project.
“Fundraising for the project has begun with memorial donations previously received by Banner Lassen Foundation,” explains spokesperson Connie Dunks. “The Foundation has designated half of these donations for this project. Due to its magnitude, major fundraising will be required with an eventual goal to total $50,000.00.”
Donations for this project will be accepted at any time and plans are in place for donors to be acknowledged in an area of the garden space. Donations may be sent to Banner Lassen Medical Center Foundation, 1800 Spring Ridge Drive, Susanville California, 96130.
