Be a Blood Hero: Susanville Blood Drive This Week

Become a blood hero by donating to the Susanville Blood Drive October 1st and 2nd

Every three seconds, someone in the United States needs blood and more donors are needed daily for trauma, surgery and cancer patients in our community. The blood you donate today can help save up to two lives. Since blood can’t be manufactured, we rely completely on volunteer blood donors.

There is currently a critical need for Type AB Plasma to support the needs of patients. Type AB is the universal donor for plasma, just as O-negative is for red cells. They’re both rare, and vitally important.

Plasma provides clotting factors that help control bleeding for surgery and trauma patients, organ transplant recipients and premature babies.

The blood drive will be held at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints at 905 Richmond Road on Tuesday, October 1st, from 12:00p.m. to 6:00 p.m. and on Wednesday, October 2nd, from 8:30 a.m. until 1:30 p.m.

Click here to book an appointment for Tuesday. Click here to book an appointment on Wednesday.

Give blood this week and you will receive a $10 Amazon gift card through the rewards store.

Bring your fast pass and save lives and time with our online health history. The health history must be completed the same day as the donation, it cannot be completed a day or two ahead of time.
