Breaking News: One Way Piloted Traffic Near Red Rock After Fatal 395 Crash

breakingnewsA collision between a big rig and a passenger vehicle has Highway 395 South limited to one-way piloted traffic near Red Rock this evening.

According to Lassen OES Chief Eric Ewing one patient was fatally injured and another was transported by ground ambulance to Reno. No identifications have been made and no cause has been determined for the collision.

Hazmat precautions were put into place after diesel and oil leaked from the truck.

Responding to the incident, which occurred shortly after 6:00p.m., were California Highway Patrol, Lassen OES, Lassen County Sheriff’s Office, Doyle Fire, Herlong Fire, Sierra Army Depot Fire and Sierra Valley.

There is still no estimated time for reopening of both lanes to traffic.
