Breaking News: Vegetation Fire Near 395 East of Janesville

Updated 1:18p.m. OES Chief Eric Ewing reports the spread of the fire has been stopped at one acre of brush and structures are no longer threatened.

Final count on resources at the fire are; 1 Aircraft, 2 water tenders, 6 engines, 2 crews and 1 dozer.

Agencies responding to fight the fire were Janesville Fire, Susan River Fire, Cal-Fire, BLM, Lassen County Sheriff’s Office and Lassen County OES.

Ewing also provided an updated location for the fire which burned near the intersection of Oak Tree Lane and Easy Street near Janesville.

Updated 12:53p.m. Lassen County Office of Emergency Services Chief Eric Ewing reports that the fire has burned around 1 acre of brush.

Structures are threatened at this time but according to Ewing crews are “making good progress.”

12:28p.m. Crews from Cal-Fire, Susan River Fire District, Janesville Fire and other agencies are responding to a vegetation fire burning near Oak Tree Lane in Janesville.

One air tanker is on order.
