The Roxie Fire, which burned around 167 acres of brush and timber west of Susanville, has been 100% contained according to the Final Incident Update from the California Department of Forestry.
The fire began on the afternoon of July 24th and Cal-Fire Law Enforcement Officers subsequently arrested a Santa Rosa man for improperly extinguishing a campfire that was outside of a designated campground. (Click here to read our earlier coverage of the story)
No structures were damaged or destroyed but there was one injury reported on the fire.
According to Cal-Fire, crews will continue to monitor the fire over the next few weeks.
Agencies involved in fighting the Roxie Fire include the US Forest Service, Susan River Fire Department, Susanville City Fire Department, Janesville Fire Department, Lake Forest Fire Department, Sierra Army Depot, CCC, Milford, Standish/Litchfield and the Lassen County Sheriff’s Office.
