CalFire is letting Honey Lake Valley residents know that they don’t have to worry when they see smoke in the valley today – the cause will be an agricultural burn operation near Janesville.
This afternoon, February 26th, the CalFire Lassen Modoc Unit will be assisting the Janesville Fire District with an agricultural burn on the Wood Ranch located at 718-275 Hemphill Road.
According to details released by the agency, CalFire and the Janesville Volunteer Fire Department will use this opportunity to assist the landowner to conduct a safe control burn and to provide training to their local firefighters.
