The Lassen County Arts Council is inviting all local artists to participate in their annual Day of the Dead art exhibit in October. LCAC will provide the paper mache skulls for you to decorate any way you would like. Skulls will then be on display at the gallery on Cottage Street all month long.
The cost is $20 for each skull and the nice folks at the Arts Council ask that you return the artfully decorated to the gallery by September 30th, so that it may be put on display.
The Arts Council is also looking for Day of the Dead themed artwork to hang in the gallery during the exhibit.
Paper mache skulls are available now and there is a limited to supply.
Children’s Workshop
The Arts Council will also be hosting a children’s workshop on September 24th from 12:00 to 2:30p.m. to decorate mini paper mache skulls which will also be on display during the month of October. The cost of the workshop is $10 and is open to children ages 7 and up.
