
The Northern California Cancer Advocates group will be hosting a golf tournament and 5K run/walk on Saturday, September 3rd, with proceeds from the fundraiser benefitting cancer fighters in Lassen and Plumas counties.
The NCCA is a nonprofit organization operating out of both counties with the intent to provide support and guidance for people suffering from cancer during their time of need.
5K Fun Run and Walk for Cancer
Check-in for run/walk participants starts at 7:30a.m. The 5K begins and ends at Diamond Mountain Golf Club with a course that is partially dirt trails and paved roads. It’s great for beginners, families, pets and seasoned runners alike.
The run will be professionally chip timed by The Bizz Running Co. a local race timing and event management company.
Your $30 registration fee includes a time chip, number bib with 5 safety pins and a T-shirt. Race packet pick-up will be at Pezzullo & Gussett, CPA’s at 2213 Main Street, in their back parking lot from 5:00 until 7:00p.m. on Friday, September 2nd.

Swing for a Cure Golf Tournament
Right after the 5K run/walk the excitement moves to the golf course and the 4th Annual Swing for Cancer golf tournament.
Foursomes will play a scramble format with awards for team score and individual feats. Tee off with a shotgun start at 11:00a.m.
Tournament entry is $100 per person or $400 for a complete foursome including greens fees, cart, lunch at the turnaround and tee prizes.
Golf and lunch will be at the golf course, 470-895 Circle Dr. where team prizes will be awarded, prizes raffled and an auction held with great donated items.
