The Spring Home, Garden, and Outdoor Recreation Show is being planned for Saturday, April 27, 2013, from 10am-4pm, at the Lassen County Fairgrounds. Vendor booth spaces are still available. The Chamber board of directors is accepting applications to fill a board vacancy. Chamber members interested in representing the business community and sharing their time and talents by serving on the board are encouraged to apply. The Board is seeking candidates who have business experience, community involvement, and the desire to represent the interests of the local business community. Stop by the Chamber office or call 257-4323 to receive an application to apply for the vacancy. Deadline to return an application is Tuesday, April 9, 2013.
Diamond Mountain Casino and Hotel will host a St. Baldrick’s “BaldGames Shaving Event”, on Saturday, May 18, beginning at 3pm, where more than 20 community members will volunteer to shave their heads to raise money for the St. Baldrick’s Foundation, a volunteer-driven and donor-centered charity dedicated to raising money for childhood cancer research. The fundraising event will be held in the Diamond Willow Room and tent where Irish fare will be served. The casino is looking for the communities support to help in raising money for this great cause. Come on up and enjoy the food, watch the shavings, and cheer on your favorite “shavee”.
