 Chamber Welcomes Newest Members

The Chamber is pleased to welcome the following new members: Sierra Central Credit Union, Great Basin Antiques, and Stephen King, Attorney at Law. Support you community by giving local businesses the first chance to earn your business when ever possible. Chamber membership is tax deductible as a “necessary business expense”.

The Chamber board & staff are working hard to promote, increase, and support business, enhance our communities, create and sponsor community events, and promoteLassenCounty. We welcome anyone to join us by volunteering for one of our many events and activities held throughout the year.

The Chamber board will meet onThursday, November 8, 2012, for the monthly board meeting beginning atnoon, at Diamond Mountain Casino, in the Hotel Conference Room, Susanville. The board encourages public attendance and comment; if you would like to address the board please contact the office staff prior to the board meeting so that you can be added to the agenda.

The Chamber board of directors is accepting applications to fill several board vacancies. Chamber members interested in representing the business community and sharing their time and talents by serving on the board are encouraged to apply. The Board is seeking a candidate who has business experience, community involvement, and the desire to represent the interests of the local business community. Stop by the Chamber office, or call 257-4323, to receive an application to apply for the vacancy.

The Chamber will be ordering 2013 Labor Law Posters. The posters will be available for sale to Chamber members for $25.00 per poster/ or non-member for $35.00 per poster. The poster contains the mandatory notices that must be posted at each work place.Californiaemployers and businesses are required to post updated employment posters at each place of business. Pre-orders are now being taken from businesses interested in having a poster reserved. The Labor Law posters are due to arrive by mid December. Contact the Chamber office staff at 257-4323 if you would like to have a poster ordered for your business.
