Susanville City Fire Chief James Moore officially lifted the burn permit suspension for the city, advising that those possessing valid residential burning permits can now resume burning on permissible burn days.
To find out whether it is a ‘permissible burn day’ you can call the Air Pollution Control District line at 257-2876.
Residents wishing to burn must have a valid burn permit in their possession, and all regulations must be followed.
Burn permits can be issued at the Susanville Fire Department at 1505 Main Street with a check or money order, or at City of Susanville City Hall at 66 N. Lassen Street.
