City Seeking Input on Proposed Riverside Park Improvements

Riverside Park is set for construction improvements with funding awarded to the City of Susanville through the Community Development Block Grant in the amount of $450,000. Work is scheduled to begin in the middle of 2018 with funding going toward ADA improvements and lighting enhancements to ensure safety for park users.

After meeting the requirements of the grant, according to Project Manager Quincy McCourt, there will be an opportunity to enhance and increase activities at the park. Some proposed concepts include a beach volleyball court, a slack line and a center attraction.

The City is very interested in community feedback to further improve the design.

The public is invited to attend a community forum scheduled for 11:00a.m., Thursday, January 25th, in the City Council Chambers at 66 North Lassen Street.
