City Sets Date for Paul Bunyan Connectivity Plan Workshop

The City of Susanville is looking for public input to help improve vehicle, pedestrian, cycling and transportation in the northern part of town.

The city was successful in obtaining grant funds through the California Department of transportation’s “Sustainable Communities” and now the task is to come up with comprehensive and creative ways to improve multi-modal transportation.

A community forum has been scheduled for 5:15p.m., Friday, February 16th at the Diamond Mountain Casino and Hotel.

Planners want to hear your input on how to reach this goal and workshops will be held to get the community’s feedback on these key factors:

  • Ways to improve walking and bicycling conditions for people of all ages
  • Create safe routes to schools, parks, trails and other destinations
  • Promote healthy, active neighborhoods and economic development
