Conservation Alert: LMUD Asking Customers to Help During Peak Hours

Lassen Municipal Utility District is asking for customer’s help tomorrow, July 22nd, while PG&E does maintenance on the utility’s primary source of electrical power near Caribou in the Feather River Canyon.

Beginning early Monday morning, LMUD will be relying on Honey Lake Power for it’s supply of electricity, and the high temperatures will add to the load on the system.

“Because of the extreme heat, we will be pushing HLP to the limit,” explains LMUD Public Relations Manager Theresa Phillips. “We’re asking customers to conserve during peak hours to lessen the load and keep the power supply steady.”
