Susanville’s proposed community pool may have found its home, as the board tasked with finding a suitable location for the project narrowed down the site of the old Credence High School on Cottage Street as their first choice.
The Honey Lake Valley Recreation Authority and Lassen Community College released a joint statement on Friday announcing selection of the Cottage Street property as the highest ranked site on the committee’s list.
Lassen Community College currently utilizes the building and classrooms of the former Credence High School as a training and education center for Fire Science, POST and Allied Health courses.
According to the joint statement issued Friday, Lassen Community College and the HLVRA are working together to ensure that the college programs located at the Credence site continue unimpeded. Both entities assured the public that these programs will continue to be a focus and of high importance to all concerned.
