Lassen County’s Behavioral Health Department announced last week that the agency is in the process of transitioning the administration of the behavioral health services from the local Family Resource Centers to the LCBH.
In a brief statement Lassen’s Health and Social Services Director Barbara Longo assured county residents that the following behavioral health services would continue:
- Community Outreach and Engagement
- Prevention and Early Intervention including peer support and suicide prevention
- Youth Friday Night Live/Club Live programs
- Wellness Groups
- Case Management
- Therapy and Medication Support
- Crisis Services
“LCBH services does not include, nor has it ever included food distribution services,” explained Longo. “The food distribution programs are administered through food banks and will continue.”
The Behavioral Health Department is inviting community members with questions regarding the continuance of services to contact the agency directly at (530) 251-8108, between 8:00a.m. and 5:00p.m.
