COVID-19 Update: Active Community Cases Near 300 as Infections Grow Exponentially


As of 4:25p.m. on Monday, November 30th, here are COVID-19 statistics being reported by local health officials.

Lassen County’s Public Health Department is reporting 289 active cases in the county with one person currently hospitalized. Two deaths have been attributed to the infection and so far there have been a total of 523 cases reported.

Infections at Local Prisons

The California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation is reporting 615 active cases of COVID-19 among the inmate population at High Desert State Prison.

The number of infections at the California Correctional Center is now at 32. You can follow this link to CDCR’s inmate population tracker.

According to numbers updated by CDCR on Friday there are 97 staff members at High Desert and 22 at CCC with active cases of COVID-19. Staff numbers will be updated by the state again this Friday.

FCI Herlong is reporting 26 active cases.
