Diane Louise (Jackson) Nelson passed in her home in Susanville, California, on Wednesday, February 8, 2023. She was born July 1, 1952, in Weaverville, California. She graduated from Lassen High School in 1970 and lived most of her life in California.
She left behind her husband, Rocky Nelson; children Stacie (Dane) Sandoval, Dawna (Jeff) Pringle, Steven (Christine) Gray, Anita (Eric) Lembke, Ernie (Anastasia) Nelson and Chivon Nelson (deceased); sisters, Debbie (John) Bullock and Cheryl Perkins; grandchildren Zackery & Kyle Sandoval, Justin McCallister, Zane (Ashley) Gray and Carl (Treynae Shaffer) Gray; and great-grandchildren Jason & Jessie Sandoval, Kaysen & Echo Sandoval, Ayron McCallister, Oliver, Montgomery & Oreana Gray.
Preceded in death by her parents Leta & Eddie Jackson & brother Rodney Jackson.
She loved going fishing with her dad and her grandchildren. One of her favorite pastimes was spending time with her children and grandchildren. You could always find her gardening in her rose garden, roses were her favorite flower.
She had a vast collection of all things Betty Boop, lighthouses, and bells. One of her dreams was to travel and tour lighthouses around the world.
She had a great sense of humor and gave the best hugs. Her proudest accomplishments were her children & grandchildren.
Graveside service with the family will be held Saturday, February 18, 2023.
A celebration of life will be held for friends and family later this year.
