Doyle Resident Killed in Alicia Way Collision

chpincidentThe California Highway Patrol is reporting that a Doyle resident was killed in a collision that occurred on Alicia Way in Doyle on the afternoon of July 10th.

According to details provided by the CHP the 59 year-old was driving a 1994 Suzuki northbound on the road when for unknown reasons he lost control and was ejected, sustaining major injuries to his head and legs.

Members of the Doyle Volunteer Fire Department, US Forest Service, Herlong Fire Department, Lassen County Sheriff’s Office and the CHP all responded to the scene.

The Doyle resident was then transported by REMSA air to Renown Medical Center in Reno where he was pronounced dead. Identification of the victim is still pending notification of family.

The California highway Patrol is reminding off-road enthusiasts to wear a helmet when riding on any trail or road.
