People need to leave the evacuated area. Please use caution and be courteous to your neighbors. Drive with your headlights on and yield to emergency personnel. Residents needing assistance evacuating are asked to call the non-emergency dispatch center at (530)257-6121.
There is now an EMERGENCY EVACUATION SHELTER set up at the Lassen Community College and Lassen High School for Dixie Fire evacuees. Emergency Shelter line (530) 250-9004
“We are requesting that anyone arriving at the shelter bring their medication and medical equipment (walkers, breathing machines, etc.), clothing for multiple days, and important papers such as insurance cards,” HSSA Assistant Director Danielle Sanchez. “Please keep in mind all weapons, drugs, alcohol and personal bedding/pillows are not permitted at the shelter.”
Animals needing shelter can be housed at the Lassen County Fairgrounds. Liability, feed, security, and care of animals housed at the Fairgrounds are the sole responsibility of the animal’s owner. Check-in will be available at the Fair Office during normal business hours. If you have any questions about animal sheltering, please contact Fair Manager, Kaitlyn Downing at (530) 588-8627.

The Salvation Army is delivering extra meals to the evacuees outside the shelter. They also have food boxes and other food available to everyone. 1560 Main St, Susanville. (530) 257-0314.

Treats Pet Supply at Milwood Florist has free bags of dog food for people evacuated from the Dixie Fire, low on cat food but working on getting more for Friday. 2020 main st open 9-5:30.

Anyone being evacuated due to the fires that need a place to park trailers, boats, RV’s, etc., you’re welcome to park at our facility at the old Sierra Pacific Mill.

We have a large lot located at 715-495 Sagebrush Blvd in Standish with 2 RV hook-ups with power & water, NO SEWER + 1 Full RV hook-up with water, power, & sewer. Besides RV spots, if you need additional space to park vehicles, trailers, etc. we have plenty of room for that too! Please no animals as we do not have secured fencing around the property & have multiple dogs & cats already. Tommy Glenn. I am the owner of Bullseye Recycling. Just wanted to say if anyone needs somewhere to store anything or get anything away from the fire please let me know. Have tons of properties you can store stuff at free of charge. Would also like to say if anyone needs help that lives in Chester or Greenville or any area affected to let me know. Honey Lake Valley Community Pool: If any evacuees need to take a shower feel stop by the pool 6-8am, 1-430 pm or 5-6pm Monday thru Friday. Showers are free!
Rob Mitchell: If there is any feed that needs to be transported for evacuated #Dixiefire livestock I can help transport. I can transport about 4 tons at a time. Just let me know where it is at and where it needs to be delivered and I will go get it. 530-310-2529.

The Susanville Indian Rancheria, is opening a Distribution Center, starting today, Thursday, August 12th, from 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. If you are an evacuee, please stop by. They will have a charging station, showers available, and a cooling station.
