Banner Health Clinic is expanding its team with the addition of Shaughn Whittaker, a family nurse practitioner focused on providing quality patient care.
As an FNP, Whittaker is skilled in providing primary care to all ages with an emphasis on general patient care. His knowledge, combined with six years of experience nursing, provides patients the most complete care available in medicine today and specialty care such as endocrinology, kidney disease and overall health and well-being.
“I like the intricacies of the health, healing and disease process that I get to work through. I get to coach families and patients through that process,” Whittaker said. “I am looking forward to learning and growing… and I appreciate Banner’s approach to care and their vision. While we are remote, we are still incorporating those into the rest of the practices.”
Whittaker attended South University in Savannah, Ga., where he obtained a master’s in nursing. Before receiving his degree, Whittaker worked as an Emergency Department Nurse. Whittaker is board certified in nursing and a member of the Florida Emergency Nurses Association.
Whittaker is excited to join the Banner Health team because it offers a network of practices in Colorado and Arizona that he can tap into as needed. His goal is to provide the community with the most comprehensive care possible.
Whittaker enjoys spending time outdoors hiking and fishing in his free time. He also enjoys visiting museums.
