The Lassen Land and Trails Trust hosted their first-ever Farm to Table event at the historic Hulsman Ranch Saturday night, Aug. 20th, and according to organizers the dinner was a spectacular success.
The Farm to Table event was attended by 100 local and out-of-town guests who dined on appetizers and Hulsman Ranch grass-fed beef and lamb accompanied by locally grown fruits and vegetables. All of this was paired with wines from the Cooper-Garrod Vineyard in Saratoga, California. The wines were donated by the Garrod family.
Noted Reno Chef Coby Liebman received many compliments for his artistic and tasty preparations of the varied courses, efficiently served by his capable staff.
While diners concluded their meals with a wonderful strawberry Pavlova dessert and sparkling rosé wine, a beautiful sunset shone on ranch owner Hannah Tangeman who spoke to the diners about the ranch and its history.
Tim Garrod, President of the Lassen Land and Trails Trust’s Board of Directors, finished the evening with a history of the Land Trust and the importance of the work it does in Lassen County.
