Final Tally: Sheriff’s Association Narrowly Beats Highway Patrol in Food Drive Contributions

The final tally for the Cram the Cruiser food drive is in and it was a close according to the folks at Lassen Family Services. The friendly competition between the Lassen County Deputy Sheriff’s Association and the Susanville office of the California Highway Patrol was held March 1st to help stock the food pantry at Lassen Family Services.

The Sheriffs collected a grand total of 1,385 items and $727.63 cash while the CHP collected 1,321 items and $466.67 cash.

“A big thank you to Susanville Supermarket IGA for hosting our event,” said event organizers, “and of course thank you to our amazing community for stepping up and helping LFS fill our food pantry.”
