A SusanvilleStuff Photofeature
by Marshel and Jeremy Couso
For the second year in a row we took our SusanvilleStuff cameras and headed over the hill to Westwood for the annual Paul Bunyan Days Festival. The community event is orchestrated by the Westwood Area Chamber of Commerce and includes a street dance, live blues acts, a logging competition, a 5k run and a parade!
The name of the festival comes from the giant woodsman Paul Bunyan who, along with his big blue ox Babe, roamed the Lassen forests around Westwood during the heyday of the Red River Lumber.
Thanks to everybody in Westwood who helped to put on such a great event, we’ll see you next year!
