Gayle Rochelle Freshcorn Hubbard
March 16, 1960 – April 19, 2015
Gayle was born on March 16, 1960, one of eight children. She married Lon Lee Hubbard on December 31, 1980. Together they had three children: Michael, Jason, and Katherine and Gayle always loved Lee’s oldest child, Michelle, as one of her own. They moved to the Susanville area in 1984, where Gayle became a cornerstone of the community. She always welcomed every child into her home, providing them with a good meal, somewhere to sleep, and tough love.
Gayle was preceded in death by her brothers Bill and Harry Freshcorn, sister Madalin Gene and son Michael, aka Popcorn. She is survived by her husband Lee; children Kassie and husband Rocky; Michelle and husband Dustin; son Jason and wife Autumn; and grandchildren: Aunika, Travis, Paislee and McKinley. A remembrance was held on April 25th and the family wishes to thank all who attended and held Gayle in their hearts. She will be remembered daily as the people who loved her cook, garden, and watch her children and grandchild grow and prosper.
