Get Creative This Summer at LCAC Art Camp!

The Lassen County Arts Council has announced the return of its popular Summer Art Camp, running from June 23rd to June 27th. Local instructors Rob and Danielle Cannon will guide young artists in exploring the exciting world of art at the City of Susanville’s Community Center, located at 95 N. Weatherlow St.

Each day from 9:00a.m. to 12:00p.m., students will dive into fun and engaging projects. The camp is divided into age-specific sessions:

For Ages 5-9:

June 23: Eric Carle Inspired Painting and Collage – Explore paint stamping, collage making, and create adorable Bead Buddies!

June 24: Cut and Paste Characters – Design unique characters, create vibrant backgrounds, and even make your own puppets!

For Ages 10-14:

June 25: Watercolor Painting and Color Theory Workshop – Learn basic color theory, practice blending techniques, and paint a natural subject using harmonious colors.

June 26: Pen and Ink Drawing Workshop – Discover the basics of 1-point perspective, try your hand at umbrella perspective drawing, and explore basic shading techniques with a free draw session.

June 27: Crafts and Free Exploration – Get crafty with washi tape and collage, make more Bead Buddies, and freely experiment with all the camp materials!

The cost is just $25 per class, which includes all necessary supplies, as well as drinks and a snack. Don’t miss out on this fantastic opportunity to learn new skills and unleash your creativity!
