The Lassen Grizzly Claybreakers will be hosting their annual ‘Claws vs Paws’ fundraiser May 11th, at the Sierra Sportsman Club and Junior Division Gun Range located on Rice Canyon Road.
The fun event is a trap shooting competition between teams from local and state law enforcement agencies, area groups and other gun clubs.
The entrance fee is $200 for a team of 5 or $40 for individual shooters. Lunch is included.
According to organizer Terrie Loflin, the fundraiser helps pay competition fees for the Claybreakers when they compete at the State Finals in Livermore and the National Finals in Las Vegas.
Lunch is available, there will be an ‘opportunity drawing’ and prizes won by competitors.
If time permits, the Claybreakers will hold an Annie Oakley shoot with a $5 entrance fee and the winner gets 1/2 the pot.
Only 75 shooters can participate and there are just a few spots left if your team wants to be part of the fun.
“We are still looking for teams, there are limited number of spots,” explains Loflin. “We are still looking for sponsors to advertise their business on the lanes, sponsor teams, etc.”
