A Janesville man received moderate injuries in a single-vehicle rollover on Highway 395 near Johnstonville Saturday morning according to details released by the California Highway Patrol.
The driver of the 1999 BMW 323i, identified by the CHP as 43-year old Janesville resident Travis Szustak, was driving southbound on the highway, south of the junction with SR-36 about 10:30a.m. when, for undetermined reasons, he allowed the vehicle to veer left, across the northbound lane.
According to the report the BMW left the road on the east side of the roadway, travelling down an embankment and colliding with a fence and a tree before overturning.
Szustak sustained moderate injuries as a result of the collision and was transported by ambulance to Banner Lassen Hospital for treatment.
No road closures were required and the collision is being investigated by the Susanville Area California Highway Patrol.
