Johnstonville Elementary School District: Temporary Fill-In Maintenance Position
RESPONSIBLE TO:
Superintendent/Principal
ESSENTIAL FUNCTION:
Perform facilities maintenance and groundskeeper duties.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Knowledge of:
- Safe working methods and procedures.
- Health and safety regulations.
- School safety standards.
Ability to:
- Perform the basic functions of the position.
- Complete assigned jobs in a timely and efficient manner.
- Effectively and safely use supplies and equipment.
- Follow oral and written directions.
- Establish and maintain cooperative working relationships.
- Observe and report need for maintenance, repair, and safety issues.
- Lift and carry heavy objects according to safety regulations.
- Perform simple and repetitive tasks.
- Meet state and district standards of professional conduct as outlined in Board Policy.
WORK DAY:
7.5 hours per day. 5 days per week. Anticipated need is 6 to 10 weeks beginning as soon as possible.
PAY:
$22.84 per hour
WORKING CONDITIONS:
This position requires service in an indoor and outdoor environment; exposure to fumes, dust, and odors; and exposure to adverse weather conditions.
The physical requirements of the position include: Lift, carry, push, pull, and move heavy furniture, equipment, and objects; climb stairs, ramps, and ladders; walk or stand for extended periods of time; dexterity of hands and fingers to operate equipment and perform assigned tasks; bend at the waist; reach overhead, and horizontally; hear and speak to exchange information; and ability to see to perform work.
