Lassen Ale Works Throws Fundraising Barbecue to Benefit Employees

When a fire in the kitchen at Lassen Ale Works closed the historic saloon and brew-pub Tuesday night it meant that suddenly all 35 employees of the uptown business were temporarily out of a job and facing the prospect of a bleak Christmas while damage is being repaired.

To help make the season brighter for these nice folks Lassen Ale Works will be holding a benefit BBQ for their employees this Saturday, December 15th from 6:00 to 9:00p.m. at the Elks Club.

The brew-pub was planning to run Baby Back Ribs as a special this weekend so you will be getting those same delicious ribs and chicken with Rooptown Red BBQ sauce and burgers plus sides; corn on the cob, garlic bread and salad for a donation of $15 per person.

“Lassen Ale Works at the Pioneer Saloon would not be the warm and welcoming place it is without the dedicated servers, bartenders and kitchen staff who work here,” said owner Margaret Liddiard, “Please help raise the funds they need to help them cover basic living expenses through this lean holiday season.”

For more information, contact Liddiard at Lassen Ale Works at the Pioneer Saloon, 530-257-7666.
