Lassen Community College will be holding a free workshop tonight, October 10th from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. in the Creative Arts building room 127.
This workshop will cover:
- Reading strategies/literature trends
- Discussion of current literature; fiction and nonfiction available to all age groups of children.
- Why authors are writing fictional novels in a ‘new’ way.
- Current trends of low level readers with high content level made to reach all kids.
- How parents can be aware of the best literature for their children and getting their children involved and developing a passion for reading.
